On Saturday I had the privilege of working with Steven Cotton Photography second shooting the wedding of two UCSC graduates, Heather and Steven.
Their wedding was off of a biking trail on Pagemill Road in Palo Alto, right along the San Andreas Fault.
I love weddings out in the middle of fields. They’re beautiful for one, but in California, it’s amazing to be surrounded by such grand mountains, forests, and hills. It’s really an incredible experience.
Here are some of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy!
I had a quick bridal session on Friday with Venus. Michelle Qi was kind enough to donate her time to the gorgeous hairstyle Venus is wearing.
Shooting at sunset is now my favorite thing ever. I played around with the editing on these images to get a little bit more of an artistic feel to them. I love the first few, I think the colors look great.
Patara messaged me on Model Mayhem wanting to work together, and I remembered seeing her profile months ago. I loved her look and I really wanted to work with her so I asked her if bright and early on Saturday morning would work.
Ruby joined us at 8am (so early!) to do Patara’s makeup and we were able to get some great shots in the morning light.
Here are my favorites!
I had another bridal shoot last night!
I’ve worked with Ariel quite a few times and it’s always a pleasure. She’s a fabulous model and she has such a gorgeous smile, it’s really hard to take a bad photo of her!
This was the first time I worked with Celeste as a Makeup Artist and she was wonderful.
I made a little birdcage veil from craft supplies and luckily it worked out! I also bought some pretty flowers from Trader Joe’s and made a bouquet for her to carry. I absolutely adore the shoes Ariel wore. And the shawl she brought ended up working perfectly with the breeze we had last night.
So here are a few of my favorite images from the set I did last night with Ariel. Enjoy!
I am taking full advantage of the flowers being in bloom right now. I love them!
Anneliese and Steve were fantastic models who participated in this wedding editorial. The flower hair pieces are by Kristine Kang and can be found here!
