Hanging out with Victoria and Jamie!

You might remember that I took photos of Victoria while she was pregnant with James and then again once he was born. I also did some portraits of them last year, when Lauren came up from LA.

Well as it turns out, Victoria was letting Jamie’s hair grow and wanted some portraits before he got it cut!

We met up at Vasona and this time, we went on the train and the carousel. It was so much fun. It was really hot out, so the little guy was definitely a trooper.

Here are some of my favorite shots!

Feeling Post-Apocalyptic…

Tomorrow I’m shooting with two models and their “characters” are based off of designs my husband has come up with. I’m pretty excited since I love apocalyptic stuff.

Keeping with the theme, I wanted to share images from my last apocalyptic shoot with a male model, Chris Dylan. He was a fantastic model, took direction well, and had a ton of great outfits that he brought with him. I kind of imagined his character as being the quirky leader of a gang in an apocalyptic world. I think the best thing about these pictures is his hair. It’s so pretty!

A little preview of my session with Jamie!

Victoria contacted me asking if I would do a session of Jamie before she gives him his first hair cut. I said of course!

He is so adorable and loved riding on the train at Vasona park. Here’s a few pictures that I love from our session.

A few portraits.

I decided to combine two posts today! A few weeks ago I did a beauty session with Elizabeth. I tried my hand at hair and makeup. It came out alright, but I think I will still leave these delicate operations to the professionals!

Then, on Monday this week, a friend was in town and I wanted to take some pictures of her for her LinkedIn profile. So I took her around my apartment complex and found a pretty ivy backdrop. Thanks Diana!

Unfortunately, on Monday my husband was laid off as well. We are taking this time to re-evaluate what is important to us. Jobs will come and go, but this was still a big shock. So we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for good things to happen!

The Three Gown Bridal Editorial.

A few weeks ago, I got together with Erika and Elizabeth again for another wedding editorial. We wanted to go in a more fashion-inspired direction this time. Bridal Gown Studio was kind enough to allow us to borrow three beautiful gowns and Erika did some amazing makeup and hair on Elizabeth. Additionally, we had Christine of Flowie Designs accompany us with her gorgeous bridal accessories.

A friend from high school let us borrow his mom’s home (actually, his mom let us borrow it!) and it was incredibly nice of them to let us use their beautiful house as the back drop for this photo shoot.

Here’s a sampling of the images we got from the day. I hope you enjoy!!!
